If Paris was attacked regularly for years the media would lose interest and stop reporting about it as well. Stop trying to turn the support and outrage over Paris into some kind of racial hypocrisy.
The attack on Paris is bringing new urgency to the situation in the Middle East. Of course the attack on Paris has pulled our attention. It's like someone punched our friend. The Middle East situation is like some in our home town was stabbed. It is more serious, but we (most of us) don't have the same connection.
The truth is those other countries are poor. They're like slums. That type of crime is expected there. It doesn't make news. The richer countries are the ones watching the news and when crime leaks over there people want to see and know why. Their interrests are raised... it makes news.
I feel bad that Syria got dragged into the ISIS shit. I'm honestly thankful that Vladimir Putin sent his troops over. He's the one who supports Christianity in the Middle East

But is firmly against gays. Syria didn't get dragged into it necessarily. ISIS stands for Islamic State of Iraq and Syria
No I was pointing out that they've been in it since the beginning. I also don't know what supporting Christianity in the middle east has anything to do with it

Because ISIS discriminates against Christianity in the Middle East

They discriminate against Christianity in general not just the middle east but I get what you're saying
The media you must likely follow is western, European or American.
It's not their fault that they report what happens in their countries.
Read Arab news papers and stop being more ignorant that you're claiming the "media" is.

It has little to do with the media and everything to do with the audience. People are interested in what is happening in what they consider to be their part of the world. Middle Eastern and Asian media cover their sections, the "West" covers its own interests. Western media does cover those places, but since they haven't stopped having massacres since the dawn of time grief fatigue has set in.
Disgusting.
>everybody assumes it has something to do with race
