Probably my favorite part of america is our devotion to it. I've never seen people so proud of where they hail from. Regardless of the people in office men would still die for them just because of what that office is supposed to represent. I have the utmost respect for men in uniform of any country.

We're willing to defend ourselves from attacks, they lodge those attacks. There's a difference when one party is consistently the aggressor. Any cause, be it religious, patriotic, or what have you, that requires killing to further it is an evil cause.

Just goes to show that even if you do not like a sitting president, his office and stature alone command respect. Always.

'Murica. Turning out a lot like 1984. Only in 2015. But it's a slow process to blend man and machine without them noticing.

@duckydoo and @paxxyagent - this vet has probably sacrificed more than you, is more selfless than you and still has more respect and humility than you. That freedom you have to say what you say was earned off of his back. You don't have to agree with the vet's position but maybe you can take a lesson from his display of class and basic respect and realize it's men like him (and whether you like it or not, our presidents) the make this country great not obnoxious trolls who've probably done nothing for anyone.

@duckdoo If you were really the patriot you're trying to come off as you'd take the damned time to type spell America properly.
duckydoo

I never claimed to be a patriot. What you fail to see is that your basic sense of patriotism is what they need to keep you in line and believe everything you're told. But I'm not gonna sit here and argue the point. Believe what you want. No skin off my sack.

I don't like Obama. I'm a conservative libertarian. But in this country we stand up for the president. Whether you or I like it or not, and I don't, he is our president, and the man deserves the respect the office warrants.
