Well with gun control, even if you attempt to take away everyone's guns, criminals will find a way to get one if they truly want to. The only people that give up their guns are law abiding citizens. And leaving them defenseless against someone who broke the law and got a gun anyway just makes the situation worse. We were given the right to bear arms to defend ourselves.
However with terrorism, that could potentially be prevented by securing the border a lot better than it is now. And just to keep more illegal aliens out. We should know who is living in the country and not just let in anyone because that can pose a security risk. It's in the best interest of the security and safety of the entire country.
But if you take everyone's guns away and let anyone and everyone into the country, we're going to have some serious problems.
You're absolutely right. Taking away everyone's guns won't solve the problem. The people who won't be responsible with them will still get them somehow. But I believe that there are definitely more things that could be done to save lives, for example limit the amount of magazines that a family can own to help prevent mass-shootings. Stricter background, criminal, and psychological checks of the entire family would also help with gun violence issues. There's gun control and gun deprivation. Very different, but seen as exactly the same. Something needs to be done in this country, because things are out of control no matter how you look at it. But such extreme measures would never work, and the only thing that could come of taking away everyone's guns is having a swarm of angry people at the government's door.
I agree about immigration, don't kick people out, but don't let just anyone in. Strict checks should be done on anyone we know trying to get in, but a path to citizenship...
...should be established for people willing to learn and do the work necessary to become a citizen. We are a country of immigrants and we need to be more welcoming. Do we have a limit to how many we can take in? Of course. Do we need to be careful in case of any kind of threat? Of course. But to base tests off religion, like some candidates are trying to do, is unfair to hard-working, honest people who don't share the same faith. We shouldn't close our doors, but we need to remain cautious and vigilant.
Doing nothing about our problem with gun violence would be a mistake, and so would making choices for immigration regarding one's personal beliefs. But it would be the same as you said as well. A balance needs to be achieved, I think that is the only way.
I'm just saying, aside from the gun show loophole, it's not easy to purchase a gun from a store. Every person wishing to legally purchase a gun from a store is subject to a NICS check... I have many guns and once, while giving info for the NICS check, I didn't realize I had given an incorrect social security number. I was denied the purchase of said firearm.
I have met people who say the first line, but I have never ever heard anything like the second line and I haven't heard either put together.
I think you might have it wrong. I've heard people say "we have enough homeless, hungry people so why do we need more?" but I've never heard immigration control referenced with terrorism
Well at least Trum didn't claim global warming is causing terrorism. *i think trump is an idiot too but at least there could be a connection between immigration and terrorists entering America.*
Sanders thinks global warming is a bigger concern then terrorism right now. I agree that it can create lots of problems for us in the future but we've got more important things to worry about right now
Actually there is a link through out history between climate change and major wars and social change. I'm not saying that Global Warming equals terrorism...but it might be related. There is plenty of evidence to back it up too.
Let me get you started with some actual facts.

I dont really think experience is very important when choosing a president. Sure, its a good thing to have, but im not going to turn down someone who has the same ideals as myself just because they dont have much experience
Im not even gona relate this to immigration but i will say this: second amendment nuff said

*uncomfortably shifts toward the Nordic countries* I'll stay over here with the people I'd rather be associating with...
I honestly want to move to Sweden/Finland/Iceland/Denmark but HAHA LIKE I HAVE THE MONEY HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH;-;AHAHAHAHAHHA;-;HAHAHA
it may take money to go on vacation somewhere, but does it really take money to move to a new country? my roommate is from France, and she came here at age 23 with nothing and now she's a high school teacher. also, if other countries are soooo much better than America, just go there and quit trying to change us! also...texasranger is right
Yeah everybody loves to hate on the United States but ive never met someone in a foreign country or from a foreign country say a word of hate about this country. Now that doesnt mean we aren't without out problems. But if its so awefull here and so great everywhere else howcome the United States still has 320,000,000 citizens and rising most of whom are immigrants or decended from immigrants *raises hand*
theodorerex: texasranger has "never" met anyone outside the US who had to say anything bad about their country. Ever. That's bullshit.
Where did anyone say anything about their country being SO great?
The only thing that post was missing was the: AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT THEN GO HOME, which I think the Native Americans would just love.
And reading about any kind of news about the US is just horrible. There is a war going on against Blacks, Muslims, Women in general, non-christians etc. Your politicians are bigots and idiots, denying the most basic facts or outright lying about, let's see, global warming, gun control, equality, sexuality... I know a lot of Americans are good people but they are helpless about the stupid uneducated masses, permeating every level of society. I mean the US are the first county actually allowing a braindead person to run for president and just look at the polls.
I could go on, but this makes me too angry.
The people that settled America did it the same way everyone else has, I'm not saying it's right but I am saying we're not an outlier. We even won territory from Native Americans the way they won it from each other. Were there atrocities, yes.
You're right, they do lie, bernie is lying about global warming causing terrorism, democrats lobbying for gun control despite it being a dismal failure in the cities where it's already implemented. People think America has a gender wage gap when unmarried women under 30 make 8% more than their male peers.
Also, save us the hyperbolic drivel, the US are (you meant is) the first country actually allowing a braindead person to run for president? What the heck are you talking about.
I feel very obligated to yell and cuss and defend my country. But im not going to because no matter what i say you will just go on being closed minded and rude. Tell me where you're from so i can dig up ever inch of your nations awefull history and make a personal assumption about you.
1. Gun control does NOT mean taking everyone's guns. - but really, you have to register your car and get licensed to drive it, why not a gun?
2. We aren't talking about letting EVERYONE into the country - but terrorists are not slipping in with refugees. They are coming in on planes with fake passports, or even real passports.
Yes because criminals will be happy to follow regulations and register their guns. They will have no problem with that
He'll Britain has problems with unregistered tobacco and people think the government can control firearms!?
How's those dead French fuckers for you. Would love another bombing in berlin and London hahaha. Would've love to piss o those "victims" graves, little helpless French fags
