Isis is systematically wiping out all the ancient monuments and temples. It's tragic, some of these are the among the oldest surviving remnant, and now because of a small group of ignorant hatemongers they are nothing but dust.
Everyone knowns they are mass murders, thanks. This was in reference to an entirely different scale and scope. The loss of life is the obvious and immediate tragedy. But there is another loss, that of history and culture, pieces of the past which have existed for milinia jyst to be destroyed now, lost for all future generations.
I'm not saying buildings are a greater loss, but they, and more importantly the history they hold, are still a grievous loss.
I know this is a great loss, I'm a muslim and seeing a mosque that was built hundred of years ago where God is praised is destroyed like this hurts me. But what I was trying to say is that they are monsters they feed on death and destruction, destroying historical monuments is expected from them.
I know that I am many weeks late, but I clicked the random button and found this.
This made me legitimately cry. When I was very young, maybe 6 years old, my family vacationed in Damascus. I went to a place with many stores and people selling things. Before, it was so alive, so filled with happy people. One of the people gave me a little hat for free, everyone was so nice and I have very fond memories of the place. To see it destroyed, so devoid of life now I just- I can't stand it. Sorry to clog up your notifications with feels. Feel free to downvote all you like. This is why I can never see war as glorious.
Unfortunately the radicals make up at least 20% (so maybe 200 million people) and even most of the so called non-radicals still believe that homosexuals should be beheaded, and women are lesser beings and basically have the same rights as cattle. Radical muslims are basically at war with every other religion, including their own!
