Why Are So Many People Getting a Septum Piercing Lately?

Because they like it?

I don't any longer but I had my septum pierced for over 2 years. It was fun. But I didn't have a hoop had a curved barbell so I could flip it up inside for work.

Because they don't care about what people think and they do what they want to. And that's the right thing.

I don't see much of a difference, but hey, your nose.

I find septums unnatractive as well, but some facial piercings are not bad. Depends on the person really, someone looks good with a septum, someone with a lip ring etc. When I was younger, I went to a summer camp, and one of our team's supervisors had a piercing under his lip positioned pretty much like a miniature silver soul patch. Looking back, I find this type of piercing ridiculous, but he looked really good with it, so I guess it really depends on how attractive the person is and what kind of piercing they have. A person with a big nose should think twice before getting a septum and so on. What I find absolutely gross is when girls get the area between their upper lip and nose pierced and put a shiny stone in them (I think this is called 'Marylin' like Marylin Monroe's beauty mark but I'm not sure). Their bitchy face level increases by 1000%. Then again, anyone can do anything they want, there are just some things that I personally find really unattractive.

do we really as a society give a shit about others opinions on piercings and tattoos? i thought in general most of us were over that? its not for you its for the person with the piercing or tattoo
