Well I don't doubt that, but it's not super gross or anything. I mean it's blood and blood flowing out of anything, natural orphis or not, isn't totally gross
It's more the inner lining of our uterus sliding out that's weird more than anything. That shit is just nasty goop, and even I'm grossed out by THAT. Blood, whatever. The rest I could live without
There is also the other side. Feeling that blood come out of you? Yes, its normal BUT that blood has to go somewhere. And often times normal pads don't absorb blood that fast. So this is a matter of concern.
When I was like 11 or 12, I came home from a carnival, and after going to the toilet I thought that I have my first cycle, and told mom and my best friend, and my mom brought snack and drinks and stuff, like mini-party. The next morning I had nothing, and I got scared and thought that there's something wrong with me. And then me and my mom did some research and it turned out that I just ate too many pink cotton candy that day, and my urine turned pink-reddish :D I got grounded for a week :D
I remember thinking periods were just blood…but those chunks… those oddly satisfying chunks of congealed blood and shredded lining… boy do I fucking hate being a girl
When I first got it, I told my mom and she was like " did you put a pad on ? "
And I was like " no ? Whats a pad ? "
And she had to explain to me that once a month didn't mean it happened literally ONCE a month, but five days a month
That's what happens in the Texas education system, everyone
Ah Texas where you can either learn nothing about periods or have all the PTSA moms bombard an elementary school and in gruesome detail tell some 8 yr old girls about “Aunt Flo” and all the changes going on in your body
And I was like " no ? Whats a pad ? "
