This is making the assumption that the UV radiation emitted from the Sun is generally the same as ours. Since we know there are different types of stars it's extremely likely that the planet in question has a different type which could emit none of the UV radiation that would cause a human to tan. After all our ability to tan is simply a self-defense mechanism of the body to protect us from our sun.

She keeps herself all wrapped up. Plus, she's much more likely to turn red than tan.

Luke was pretty tanned in episode four. Besides, she keeps covered for protection most of the time.
