There's actually a lot of research on this phenomenon. I don't know about this particular instance, but there are well documented cases of patients with MPD exhibiting physiological changes depending on the personality currently occupying the body. Eye color changes, allergies coming and going, etc... It's really quite interesting.

It's theoretically possible, and would mean the blindness was merely psychosomatic.

Or perhaps it was not true sight, but a mere illusion of such. Vivid hallucinations of a time with sight.

There was one woman once that had multiple personality disorder and her kids claimed some of them didn't know how to drive so they get stuck at stores and one even smelled like fresh strawberries even though thier mother didn't wear any perfume that smelled like strawberries.

The brain is capable of making you think you are seeing things while you're blind

isn't it called DID now? Dissociative Identity Disorder?

It is! And it’s also been determined that to have DID your “personality” would have to fracture at a very young age. About less than 9 years old. This means that either she was a girl when this happened or it’s fresh BS

Ive always wondered... what would happen if all the personalities merge into 1

Impossible. There is always one "true" original personality. All the other personalities exist only to deal with stress/trauma that the individual can't handle. When faced with that stress that personality takes over as a defense mechanism.
