I think I saw a story on this (or something similar). Most are basically told to fuck themselves and the ones who do get paid are given pittance. Like...if I was that guy I'd take a job as a contract killer because hey why the hell not get lots of money fast and you can't do anything more to me than what you've already given.

Depends on where you live too. Average yearly incone for families in America is 60,000 or less. And while it may not be enough this is a settlement you he got all at once. Still not enough in my book but it's more than nothing
Wow, poor guy. But still, how vindicating that must've felt to finally be free.

Imagine how much has happened in 40 years. Whatever family he had is possibly dead or living somewhere else, technology is different, it'd be so hard to readjust to society. Poor guy
I haven't watched the documentary on it but I saw in an article they left our key evidence in it. But like I said I haven't watched it or read up on the case so I have no opinion
