about the last pic(as far as i know): he is a tank commander and is attending a ceremony where his actual tank in which he fought during the battle of Kursk (anyone who payed a little attention in history class or played CoD knows it was the biggest tank battle of all time) is presented after it's been found on the battlefield, indentified and restored. he is the only living crewmember.
Y'know, there are ways to honor and respect soldiers. But I don't think that shaming and trivializing the girls who may be their daughters, or grow up to become their mothers, or one day choose to serve their country themselves, is a great way of going about it...
Yeah just girly things is stupid but just because the there are bad things that have happened or people that have it worse than you doesn't mean you're not allowed to be happy
Possibly an unpopular opinion, but I think that it's a beautiful thing that folks worry about the trivial things through stupid stuff like justgirlythings. Like thanks to what our soldiers do, American teenage girls can worry about summer clothes and high school drama rather than not freezing to death or being shot at. Maybe it's stupid, but it's a blessing to be so carefree.
Not all nazi soldiers were evil. Many of them probably were just taking up the call to arms for their country, and it's not like Hitler was telling the German public about exactly what happens to jews in concentration camps. Im no historian but I bet a lot of them didn't know many of the horrors done under the nazi flag. Some were probably completely innocent, just like soldiers from other countries against them. If you wanna hate someone, hate hitler
The Germans knew well what was going on and many were pro. Shit like krystalnacht wasn't done by a raging Hitler. Not only that but these soldiers chose to fight and protect a nation that they (once again) knew damn well what was going on. Draft or not, there was still a choice during the battles.
There was a difference between the s.s. and the German army. The s.s. were all fanatical Nazis. And your right, most people did have a choice after being drafted: fight or be executed as a traitor. They fought because the only other option was death.
dailydoseofmusic you are so bloody stupid it hurts. maybe you should get check the facts before posting shit like this. the normal didnt have a choice, it was fight or get a shot in the head. but yeah, in your world every german was/is a nazi right? stupid dumbshit...
Agreed. They overexaggerate EVERYTHING, especially the one about dreading life. Unless you have a serious issue, and not just, "He won't talk to me or notice me", then please. Just...don't
Please don't do this.
