Okay, about to rant a little. Super sorry!

Okay, you know that satisfied feeling you get when something gets completed, or something fits perfectly into place? Or how you just CRINGE when something is misaligned or the wrong color or something? This is because of a natural reaction in humans called the "completion principle". It's the natural human tendency to want things finished. OCD on the other hand is a serious mental disorder that takes many forms. For some, it becomes a need for order and cleanliness. For others, it becomes a need for a routine. For me, it's a need for all numerical things in my life to be a multiple of the number four, and a need to touch things "evenly" with both sides of my body. And when I say need? I mean NEED. I used to have horrible anxiety attacks when my needs went unfulfilled, complete with tears, fetal position, and shutting down of all stimulus response.
Sorry but it's always going to be "treated as a joke." You really shouldn't get upset when people use it incorrectly because it's always going to happen. Inform them if you want, but don't get worked up over it. It's not worth it.
I know man. I just hope that some people will get the message and stop, because it really does bother those who have been through OCD. I have some friends with OCD who will actually fight you if you use it wrong :P
