While not a literal quote, I would be genuinely surprised if it isn't in her agenda. She's made it perfectly clear that she is against anything more than the most limited civilian firearms ownership.

she's in favor of European model system, where they have MUCH lower gun homicides and deaths than America. Limited use of hunting rifles, bans on assault weaponds and high capacity magazines, a few more restrictions on concealed firearms, and the biggest one, closing the gun show loophole, and making sure all firearm purchases have a background check associated with them. Also, while I'm not sure this has been brought up, I'm personally in favor of a VOLUNTARY gun buy back program to limit fire arm deaths. And it isn't in her agenda, she's talked (quite at nausea really) about her positions on firearm control.

I dont like her as a candidate as a whole but this is one of the few areas I have to give her credit on.

The firearms-homicide link is a debate for another day( I personally think it goes deeper than that), but I will say that banning certain classes of firearms such as MSRs will do absolutely no good in the same way that banning drugs does no good. They'll be harder to find, yes, but it will also ensure that criminals are the ONLY people that have them.

thats kind of the point. The difference between a drug like cocaine and an assault rifle is that one is used for personal pleasure and also usually has solutions for addictions, it was the persons fault they used it, etc. With an assault rifle making it as difficult as possible to obtain would logically decrease the number of people killed. And additionally its not like an assault weapon even has a purpose other than killing other people, considering hunting rifles are much safer, and cheaper, for hunting, an assault rifles only purpose is for shooting another person. I doubt theres much disagreement about that.

You've got a solid argument, I have to admit, but there is one big point I want to stress. Very few actual "assault weapons" exist in the civilian market, and the few that do cost tens of thousands of dollars and are already heavily regulated. A lot of the modern firearms dubbed "assault weapons", while cosmetically similar to their mil-spec siblings, are heavily de militarized in terms of the internal mechanisms in order to meet the existing laws. And the firearms designed exclusively for hunting aren't any less lethal in terms of efficiency (army snipers still use bolt action rifles which are almost identical to civilian hunting rifles). But, in the end, there's no easy solution, and I'm done arguing. We're all here for fun, not politics, anyways aren't we? *extends hand* truce?

I forgot that the ban would include auto weapons in general but yes we seem to agree on most if not all of this issue. Truce.

Last time I checked an AK47 will cost you way less than $1000 on the legal US market. Now technically that might not even be categorized as an "assault weapon" but how much more does anyone need to become a public threat?

AK's are assault weapons.

Getting an AK-47 assault rifle is a little harder now becuase of the sanctions on Russia due to the Ukraine conflict.

That bitch is a stone cold liar, like MOST other politician who ever was in a real powerful position."Mr. Smith goes to Washington" was a fairy tale even 75 years ago. But she's surely not worse that any other of them. And she's not a sick creep like Trump, Cruz, Carson and even Rubio the robot, which is pretty sure to be the corner fake stories like this come from.

I desperately wish that there were a candidate that I could vote for with a clear conscience.
