Not a cop out, man. A cop put is voting for someone you dont even want just because you can. That person will run our lives for 4 more years, if you abstain you at least told them you weren't going to be happy with it.
@friskyfox, it's not a privilege, voting is your right and responsibility. Privileges are granted and can be taken away, rights are inalienable. We need to remember we have RIGHTS in America and we need to fight to keep them.

Um you can have your "right" to vote taken away. It's more of a privilege than a right, because you can easily have it taken if you make one tiny mistake.

I consider it a privilege because 100 years ago I wouldn't have had that right. So to me it actually is a privilege.
No you cannot have your right to vote taken away. I am only talking about America here. In America the only way to lose that right is to be convicted of a felony, in which case you forfeit certain rights; that's your choice because you chose to break the law. It's not the same thing.
@frisky it's fine to appreciate what we have in America and feel privileged, I just mean we need to be careful not to start believing that we are granted privileges by a benevolent government. We need to all remember that they work for us, and sometimes we need to damn well remind them!
My dad had his taken away because it was easier for him to take the blame for some drugs his friend hid in his locker than go to court. So tell me guestwho is that fair? Is it truly a right when it can be taken away so easily?
You made my point. Whether your dad broke the law or not he said he did. If he was innocent he should have stood up for himself. Breaking laws, or claiming you did when you didn't, is a choice. Choices have consequences. Yes that was fair.

Doesn't matter who we vote for. Since the ANC took over in 1994 with Mandela ruling it they've been the only party to rule ever since. But now the government is throwing out ballot sheets that have votes for their opponents.
Yep. Starting to head that direction here. We're trying to fight back and that's why Trump has the supporters he does. Doesn't matter if he really believes his BS, his supporters do cause they're scared of where we are heading.
Why do people think that these are the only candidates? Cruz, Rubio, and Kasich are all qualified republicans. Unfortunately, the democrats kicked out their good candidates (O'Malley) Before the primaries even started.
Rand Paul is still a little too libertarian for most Americans' taste.
I am diametrically opposed to liberalism in any measure, but for a Democrat I'll admit O'Mally made a lot of sense. That was his weakness though; not radical enough for the modern Democrat party.
Trust me OP, if there were a "none of the above" option, most of us would pick it

I think that there should be a none of the above option, and if that wins, then there's a whole new election with all new candidates. That should be a thing.
