If you haven't done anything wrong then you shouldn't feel nervous

You know damn well that completely innocent people still feel nervous. You have to actively think "okay, I didn't do anything" and you're usually still nervous
There's no issue with thing like tail lights either. Most of the time they'll just tell you about it and the off chance they write a ticket, you get it fixed and it goes away anyway. Sure, innocent people can feel nervous, but you're just as likely to have a problem with a cop as any other human being so unless I'm doing something I shouldn't, I personally don't get bothered seeing a cop.

The difference is that most other people aren't in the executive branch of government...
Don't brake. The cop may not even be checking your speed but will become suspicious at the sight of your brake lights. I was doing 40mph in a 30mph work area the other night and saw a cop car, which I've never seen one there before, and I didn't brake and he didn't pull me over. I guarantee he would have if he'd seen my brake lights.
