They believe that since there are statues of old kings and monarchs that people would worship them as idols. Thats why the blew up tadmur which was built in like 3000 bce btw. It pisses me off.
WTF. As someone who appreciates historic architecture, this upsets me alot.

Lol i like how everyone is getting pisses at isis because they've done this to some places. Where as US and RUSSIA have bombed countries and haven't cared for any damage done to any buildings whatsoever even civillian casualties. You call em brutes I call em copy cats.
Civilian losses are inevitable in urban warfare.
But if we aren't fighting over there, the bad guys would just slaughter and torture innocent people unimpeded.

But nobody asked for help in other countries?. Isn't it the UN's job to initiate such invasions to fight terrorist agendas?
I think the main focus should be ousting assad. And i know someone is going to say "wont ISIS fill the power vacuum". Well here's my response. ISIS has killed far LESS than bashar al assad. We are talking 30000 for ISIS and 200000 for assad. Also the rebel groups and kurds are fighting BOTH assad and ISIS if assad is removed it would potentially unify the rebels against ISIS. Now most political scholars would tell your that assad will leave at some point. Now are going to sit back and let another 200000 die or are we going to put an end to it. Also "one mans death is a tragedy, 20000 deaths become a statistic" -Joseph Stalin.

Dude this is what gets to me HARDLY ANYBODY IN THE COUNTRY CONPLAINED ABOUT ASSAD THO FAM? So like why dors US feel the need
Ok buddy talk to a couple syrians about how they feel about their leader then come talk to me. Literally every single Syrian I know and have talked to which is quite a few absolutely hates assad and wants him to go. Look at the numbers. 4 MILLION people have left Syria 245,000 are dead and counting. And I said we should get more involved so to say "why does the US feel the need" is inaccurate given that I was expressing my individual opinion I dont speak for 318 million people. So don't gripe about the US, gripe about me if you want to gripe.

Like yo I understand. But assad is already damaged as all balls. His country is in a total state of war. Why does the US say that they don't support terrorists but they then proceed to arm people who then eventually join ISIS. The US also trains rebels in Syria so they knownhow the US fight. It's just shooting yourself in the foot. Just leave syria alone like russia needs to leave Ukraine alone
If we don't support local rebels, ISIS will grow more powerful much quicker, and then more innocent people are slaughtered for praying wrong. You are makng too many generalizations to effectivly argue against.

Dude? What? Some of ISIS biggest recruiting are from the Syrian rebels what are you talking?
But many of the Rebels hate ISIS more than we do.
Makes sense, Considering that ISIS only takes the extremists of their own particular religious branch.

No but the rebels don't hate ISIS as much as we do? They even expressed contemplating joining up to fight russia and assads forces.
But they do.
ISIS kills the families of rebels too, and while some groups may be on freindly terms, many aren't.
But even still, we could end the whole mess by deploying our own forces to just kill off ISIS and Assad.
Assad intentionally released imprisoned terrorists and allowed them to fight him along side the rebels to make it harder for foreigners to back them. There is no like minded force on the ground

That's war with another country who has an alliance with Russia. Dude I know people, ex military and current military, that have/are working/worked for the US Military who would rather fight alongside Assad forces. They say it's a sacrifice they would make if it meant keeping the world okay with each other. They even argued it would build a stronger relationship with the middle ease and russia. An unstoppable tri-force man. It's tactical but it would work.
Id rather see the world burn then let evil men stay in power simply for stability. And I know alot of Arabs, Syians included and Assad is an evil that has to go.
