As someone who works retail I can honestly say I have heard variations of all of these. The most recent was a woman was buying a dress but didn't like the print so she wanted it half off.
I had customer who ripped a hole into a cardigan so she could get 50% off. I caught her redhanded though. She had to pay the full price for the cardigan and left without it. I couldn't stop laughing lol
I'm just waiting for someone at work to tell me to get a real job so I can say. "I'm a double major in Criminal Justice and Political Science working to help pay my way through school."
I would like to say but I don't want to give out my location on here. I know you guys probably wouldn't hunt me down but it's one of those things I keep off the internet
It's not exactly a commodity, but where do you think all these fancy company logos and themes come from? All the brochures, the website designs, product designs, patterns, you name it, not to mention traditional artwork, comics, book covers, and so much more. These artists work hard, and without them, the world wouldn't be so nice. They deserve a little better.
My point is that the picture doesn't make sense because it's comparing apple to oranges.
It's message isn't necessarily wrong, but it's not communicated well at all.
For the most part yeah, that's the problem. I'm not entirely sure what could replace groceries, I'm not even sure a comparison like this can work at all.
Though to be fair, I guess the "It's just printed on paper" one actually works just fine the way it is.
(And just people in general)
