Possums. How do they work?

One time in 3rd or 4th grade there was a live possum playing dead on our school bus. Surprisingly no one was afraid?

I opened my cabinet to get food and there was a possum in there. I was out of the house and had to call my dad over to get it out.

I have heard despite how they look and their hissing, they're more bark than bite. I'm not saying they won't bite you but I don't think they're as aggressive as they seem. Doesn't mean I want to go near one though.

I've held one, they hiss sure but they actually aren't that bad, it didn't try to kill me so as far as I'm concerned they are just like any other wild animal if you scare it, it will try and protect itself

A possum killed our pet chicken. The dogs were sad. The dogs killed the possum.
