Not really. The sands in Egypt have covered massive monuments, vegetation and soil have overtaken temples and castles in other parts of the world, and theres no real indication as to how much time has past.

Also I'd like to add most of it looks like ivy which can grow up walls and such. The rest of it may be dirt the has collected form wind but ultimately it is fiction
Duuude imagine a game setting like Shadow of the Colossus in where a lone guy on a horse goes through a city filled with humantiy's once greatest marvels like a space shuttle or a skyscraper and you search through the place to find books or something
