No just no. 1) Nobody thinks that's what "punk" is in america. 2) the idea "punk" Having a standard image like you're insinuating, is the exact opposite of what the entire movement meant in the first place. If you don't believe me go listen to the music.

I was born 1961, and when punk started in europe, I was part of that "movement", and that was all about "fuck you, gimme money for drugs, let me make some noise, and dig that fucking noise. You dont dig? Then leave me the fuck alone. Did I forget "fuck you"?" No real punk would give a rats ass about what any fucking movement "meant" or what some fucking art student would say is "behind" that shit. *drops the mike*
