Recently, my parents went to Dallas for a big meeting with people from around the world. At the hotel, they asked if they could be shown to the roof and the guy from the hotel showed them and they had a little talk. Mum said something about how big the city was and wondered haw many people lived there, and the guy answered about 9 million, only counting the inner city, to which my dad replied that that was about the entire population of Sweden, where we lives. The guy did not believe this
... There's no way Dallas has 9mil. I think the guy might have been referring to the 'Metroplex' area which is made up of several cities. Dallas-Fort Worth area is also acceptable. Also, recent data shows an estimate of nearly 7 mil. Just to clarify. No way we have 9mil. That might number might belong to NY
New York proper is about 8.5 million, which makes it the largest city in the U.S. by a wide margin. The New York Metropolitan, which includes neighboring regions, is about 20-25 million.
