True, you don't need to sound like a sarcastic teenager when you could word it like this: "Yes, medical science, research, and donation is a miracle of human development."
Miracle is just a term, for an extremely unlikely event. Cancer is very difficult to treat, even with today's technology, and recovery is usually quite unlikely.
Actually guest is right. Just looked it up, miracle refers to something divine, inexplicable by nature or science. So yeah, that's no miracle, that's medical science, baby.
That's true. Definitions definitely change and time is the biggest huge factor, but social level, region, race, and even families play a roll into what words mean, and whether certain words are appropriate or not.
