The problem is that my high school was sexist with the dress code. The school handbook specifically said no sagging pants and no form fitting pants, which was basically leggings. Girls got dress coded left and right for leggings like crazy but no one said a word if a guy was walking down the hall with the waist-band of his pants closer to his knees than his waist. Guys got away with breaking dress code all the time but god forbid a girl wear a v-neck t-shirt that just shows a hint of cleavage because it might distract the boys. Pisses me off. I don't even wear leggings or anything like that but this makes me mad.
At my high school, we have to wear uniforms, and most of the girls just wear the skirts most of the time. It's interesting though, because it's a more conservative religious school and you wouldn't expect this, but the skirts are by no means "conservative". If you're standing, it's mid-thigh, and if you sit down, obviously it goes higher, but if you fold your leg under your other leg, it's like you're not even wearing the skirt on that leg. Idk, it just surprised me.
