Actually, no they dont. They're ADULTS teaching CHILDREN and they need to act like that. If they can't handle dealing with kids all day then they are obviously in the wrong field. All my teachers worked in a alternative school dealing with the shittiest kids you can imagine and they never said things like this. If you don't have patience and the ability to not be an asshole then don't teach.
There was a time when teachers didn't have to worry about getting fired over little stuff. Sad how that is no more. Everyone has to be afraid of speaking words.
I've had teachers and other school staff say way worse things to me, but honestly we don't need school staffs propelling negativity and making students unecessarily uncomfortable to be in the classroom.
@jade, its school, it isn't meant to be comfortable, it's a living hell!

I'm gonna need some more context to judge here. If this was a middle school kid I might agree with some punishment, but I would hope a high schooler wouldn't be this easily upset.
I remember this one time where a teacher got arrested bc she told a male student to 'tie a knot in it' when he had to pee, among other things.... only in Florida
They deal with our shitty kids all day every day. They deserve a pass for the odd snarky comment.
Except maybe Jesus.
And possibly Ghandi.
Only in Florida would anyone give incorrect instructions for tying one's own dick in a knot.
