This is stupid. If you feel like wearing it WEAR IT. But don't complain about it not being socially acceptable. Stop being a coward and do something instead of waiting for something to happen. I've gone to a college party in PJ attire, is that socially acceptable? Hell no but I did it anyways because that's what I wanted to wear. Did some people look at me like I was crazy? Hell yes but did I care? Hell no! Why? Because I was comfortable as fuck. Would I still have been able to hook up with a girl like any other party? Damn right! Why? Because I look good in them PJs ;)

You have to be reasonable with what you wear of course. I can't walk around simply with elephant trunk underwear and not expect to get in trouble with the law
You guys need to live your life the way YOU want to live it, not the way society wants you to live it. If you wanna go out dressed as Hawkeye, go do it. You gotta a really nice star wars dress you wanna show off? Go put it on. If someone hates, fuck them. They're toxic anyways.
