Well solving a Rubik's cube really comes down to the first 5 moves. You use these moves to set the cube in an order. By setting the cube in this order it only allows so many possible solutions. Google the Fridrich method its what I use

Everyone acts like solving a rubiks cube makes you a genius but anyone can go on youtube and watch a tutorial and memorize some algorithms. Which is what most people I know that can solve them do. You're smart if you can solve it completly independently without help
