Funny how people don't wanna learn .... It's because it will open their minds to more cultures.. And they won't accept that , also, it is why more people are scared to learn another language , because they're scared to be made fun of . English is my 3rd language , so I know, but people! U gotta get past the embarrassment of sounding like a funny robot y keep going!
What's wrong to opening your mind to new cultures? I write, play piano, and trombone.

I think they're saying that's why other people don't want to learn, because some people are just plain closed minded and don't see any sense in learning anything other than their own "superior"(in their mind) culture. Which is super ignorant.
I don't make fun of people who are learning it as a second of third language. I make fun of people who speak it as their native language and still manage to mess up. Also, my phone autocorrected "third" to "Thor"

Which brings the point of "are you speaking incorrectly or is auto correct being your enemy" around
Whenever I meet a customer who struggles with English, I do get mildly annoyed, but I akways mentally slap myself, because at least they're trying. I hate customers who come in and just start speaking Spanish after I greet them in English, without even asking if I speak Spanish.
Oddly enough my friend who is fluent in English but originally is korean is more hard on non native english speakers than any of my other friends, or me.
Fuck outta here my friend is learning Korean and two of her so called Korean friends make fun of her and even bash her on her pronunciation sometimes. It makes her feel insecure about speaking a 3rd language. So this goes both ways
My boyfriend speaks English as his 3rd language, and while he generally speaks it well, he does make occasional mistakes, which I tease him about however I don't mean it and always try to help him improve his English skills. I think it's so cruel for English speakers to be genuinely mean towards non native speakers over here linguistic skills
