I thought this was about strict parents and I agreed but then I read the rest and was like no, my punishment was spanking. But I guess this can also apply to that too.

I can imagine my future kid (if I have one) telling me "you're gonna go to this party mister, and you're gonna like it." As some sort of punishment for being a bad parent.
