Nah you can get great shoes with support for 12 bucks. Money doesn't mean Quality, most of the time the more expensive the shoes are the more you're just paying for the brand

But someone suggested you should buy expensive clothes for daily wear as they will last long and you will get good value for money and buy cheap ones for rarely worn pieces.
