I don't think I've seen anything more American than this

The eagle actually saved the man. Prior to getting trapped he saw the man acting foolish by a cliff and then got himself "stuck" to sidetrack the man.
Eagles never need to be rescued, Chuck Norris does the saving, and eagles are the Chuck Norris of the sky.

It would have only been more American if he had done so sitting on his ice chest full of beer while drinking one !!!
