Also depends on what type of Christian's, for instance, I'm a Catholic and go to a strict Catholic school and in Religious Education we are taught to be proud of our sexuality and as long as we love God and do what is right, it doesn't matter who we end up loving.
Okay yeah but a LGBT person saying they don't like Christians online is not the same as the injustices received by LGBT people at the hands of (some) Christians in the last however-many-years.
Also, equating a victim's response to abuse to what an (possible) attacker is doing is unfair and just plain misleading. Either way, this post is riddled with spelling errors and generalizations. Not everything is as cut and dried as this post makes it seem.
I'm a Christian and I understand that homosexual acts are a sin, but if you acknowledge that attraction and don't act on it then there isn't much to condemn. It's wrong for Christians to say that someone is going to Hell; only God knows that. Its wrong to say that God hates anyone; we're all His children. Also, I've seen much hate on Christians when they lovingly speak out against this. I just hope and will pray that everyone can get over this hate and learn to love in its true meaning. Too much to write in one comment! God bless you all.
"Love the sinner, hate the sin" doesn't work, though. Human sexuality - particularly the social connections forged by it - is a legitimate need, and one which is urgent enough that ignoring it has literal physical consequences, and it doesn't work when someone of a particular orientation tries to act out that need with someone who doesn't fit their attraction map.
