Or maybe parents should teach their kids not to be assholes OR victims. That's like telling girl that guys will rape them no matter what so learn run faster and act less assertive....OH WAIT, that's what society is teaching.

Bullies have existed since man has put children in schools and bullies will always exist. It is human nature. Teaching your child self defense is extremely smart and it is a very useful skill which also builds self confidence. Your example of the girl is irrelevant and not the same point whatsoever. Though I will say that yes. People will always rape. Just like people will always murder and etc. Crime will always exist. Society doesn't teach girls to run faster. Thats absurd and frankly made up. Society also doesn't teach women to be less assertive as a way of preventing rape I don't know where you live where you say this is taught. Anyway your example is as I said both irrelevant to the point of the infographic and also flawed. The infographics point seems to have escaped you. The point is to teach your child to defend themselves and I don't see how that can be a negative.

But that doesn't mean we shouldn't do something about it. Nowadays, starting fights will lead to lawsuits, detentions, and worse.

Maybe also teach our kids to stand up for others, not just themselves.

People who write things like this have never dealt with a real bully. You know, the kind that put people in the hospital, pull bats, knives, guns. The whole "Stand up for yourself" may work in after school specials, but in the real world that just means more pain.

If your kid is a bully, your child needs intervention and your family probably does as well.

My dad always said if someone is bullying me, to punch 'em in the face.

My dad forced me into taekwondo for this very reason. I didn't see the point of this at first, now I'm grateful...
