Funsubstance. Most everything else is here anyway. And everyone is so helpful and terrifying in the same breathe.

There was actually a Horrible Histories episode on what the flowers mean. There was some that meant death, I sort of like you, I don't love you anymore... etc.

Nice. I honestly prefer the TV show though. I remember most of the songs.

Same here, with Rattus Rattus! Did you see the other version, where there were contestants playing?

That was quite cool. People had to answer questions, if they got it right, they got a golden ball, and then had to participate in a challenge that had something to do with the era they were talking about

I don't remember much of the TV show, but I had all of the books. I loved science and history the most, they had all the gory cool stuff.

Something like this came up on tumblr and koscheiis said that a bouquet of geraniums, foxgloves, meadowsweet, yellow carnations, and orange lilies would basically be the perfect way to say 'Fuck You' in flower.

Everyone should be quiet and read Forget-Her-Nots by Amy Brevount White, or at least the section that has a long list of flowers and their meanings.

Actually, in Elizabethan England, flowers had different meanings and were like a code. Pansies were for thoughts, fennel: infidelity, roses were love and so on. You wouldn't dream of getting your date columbines (also infidelity--there must have been a lot of infidelity going on) and you CERTAINLY wouldn't give your mother roses. Just a fun fact
