I'm not surprised a small town's just the right the place for you. And here's a fun fact: whether you're racist or not, is actually not up to you to decide. Same as being sexy or being an asshole.
That's funny coming from a twisted little boy pretending to be a rich jetsetter.
@pokethebear: a few pubs/bars, public pools, youth clubs, libraries, public transport to get to the next city, places to hang for the not-so-strait kids, holiday programs for low income families, stuff like that. Not everywhere, but widespread.
Our town population is a little under 5,800. Most of our property is farmland. We are mostly correction officers, farmers, construction workers, factory workers and office staff. We have two bars, one with a restaurant. Another restaurant. Two pizza joints. A gas station. A general store. Auto repair shop. Blacksmith. Volunteer fire company with a rec hall. A town park. A town veterans memorial pavilion. A public library. A town Christmas party every year. A town barn dance with a live band next week. An annual fireman's carnival and parade. We are one of three towns in the school district, there is a tri-town sports and rec organization. There is a tri-town boys and girls club. A power sports dealer. We are a little over 20 miles from two small cities, so no mass transit. A historical society. A baptist church. A tri-town senior center. A post office. We do not have a traffic signal though. I'm not sure what your preconceived ideas of small town life are all about.
Yes it does. So? [x] exceptions, exist - that's actually not really a mind-blowing fact. There's actually large areas in east germany where most small towns are like the list above is suggesting. Thus the "Not everywhere, but widespread."
RIP to my highschool art room, where my best friend and I painted a mural and started an art club which was turned into a second weight room because that's all the school board cares about
The only art teacher who actually encouraged me to do my own art instead of just looking off a picture quit because she was so upset :( small schools only care about what brings in money, not about the students needs in whole
