Isn't it a little illogical she runs while covering? I mean no disrespect but wouldn't it be safer and more comfortable for her to run in lightweight clothing instead of her covering?
I think because where she lives with the temperature and her culture and religion, she might be really conservative and have these ideals ingrained in her mind that she needs to be covered at all times and maybe that's how she likes it. Some women from these cultures don't mind being completely covered and others would do away with it if they could. I think it depends on the country too, and Saudi Arabia has the strictest dress code in the world so she probably has to anyway. Hope this helps :D
suprised they would let a girl run
hey its kinda like grey hounds they get treated great on the race track but the second they get home there beat by there owners
I wonder how many people have said "wow thank you for correcting a random person on the internet in their grammar". I've never heard anyone say that. He's writing a comment, not an essay. Asshole
This is sexism at its finest. Feminists should be protesting this shit, instead they protest in countries where they can vote, own property, get an education, etc. It baffles me how people protest against something that hardly exists in the U.S. and don't even realize how badly women are treated by Muslims.
Nothing wrong with modesty. I personally don't go that modest, but I don't wear shorts or tanks because of modesty. If it's her choice, don't condemn her. If it's not her choice, that's another story. I know women who, by choice, wear long dresses and long sleeve shirts even on the hottest days. Again, I don't go that far, but it's okay.
You're right modesty is good. But their law makes them compete dressed like that. One would think it would put them at a disadvantage, but they're still required to wear it. Women can also be beat if they wear the garb improperly, but idk how often this actually occurs.
Ahaha no it's not her choice in Saudi Arabia it's a law that the women must be covered. One punishment for not being covered is stoning. And this is all condoned by Islam. So, if you feminists would stop treating Islam and the Quran as a feminist friendly religion we can all start moving ahead with freeing these abused women from oppressive governments like Saudi Arabia. And don't hate what I say because "you're lying not all Muslims are mean to women!1!". I'm being truthful about what Sharia law enforces. read the English translation of the Quran sometime and you'll find out how horrible it is to women.
We just can be full of joy for living in countries where women are treated with so much respect, especially in media. Where there is no such things as rape or forced prostitution, or arranged marriage. Where there is no harrasment, no cat calling, no victim blaming, where women are paid equally and have the same chances. Where girls don't get sent home from school because their shoulders/cleavage/knees/bra straps are showing. Do you really think we are in the position to judge when it comes to womens rights?
Oh and maybe someone should read an english translation of the Bible and get some mulim friends who are married to get a glimpse of the world.
