There can always be terms to describe something. We can call a bird a yellow bird, a finch, an American goldfinch, or Spinus tristis. None of these terms would be wrong. Thusly, if you have a word which you think can describe yourself, it is as correct as any other term. There is no need to call someone out as wrong or pretentious. All words were simply made up at some point anyway.

Unstable? I suppose any new term in our language would create instabilities in our minds. If we come up with a new word for that feeling when you're in a place that feels just slightly off, even though it was fine the day before, we can't ever use it, or we'll go absolutely bonkers. If we discover a new type of cancer, we can't call it by a new name, because it's just cancer, why should it feel special? New plant species? Just call it green long stalky thing. It's just a name. Okay I'm just gonna come out and say it. When i say unstable, I mean people who need extra titles because they wana be special. Nowadays we celebrate difference simply because it's "different" and not because it's useful.
