That's a pretty valid opinion, but still based on the strong opinion that "it is the way it is". Minimum wages are not really decent in a vast majority of countries. I wish we could be paid way more for jobs that tend to be exhausting for terrible salaries (including, but not limited to, factory work, catering, cleaning...)

In my country if you know how to manage a budget minimum wage is actually descent
Most people are not solely motivated by money .. if you are:
1. "You don't pay me enough for that" can always be used as argument, regardless of pay.
2. That should be your motivation to work hard and move toward a better job
Most people get paid minimum wage because they refuse to do higher pay menial jobs like hotel service, which is why foreigners who are "stealing our jobs" are doing the dirty work which they think they're too good for.
This reminds me of this absolute cunt of a guy who, born into a filthy rich industrialist family, used to tell people (as a statement of "wisdom") that minimum wage should be abolished because "people can live off it, so they won't put any effort into doing a good job". Where I live, the minimum wage is just a little over $500 (monthly, 40h/week). Try living off $500 in western Europe, paying rent, buying food, utilities and some form of public transportation.
The word "motherfucker" comes to mind.
You're paid what you're worth. The thing that is missing from the mallard's argument is the facf that work comes BEFORE pay. That is, your pay can only be based on your work. To try and make it the other way around, you're dooming yourself to a minimum life.
