Work at it. It's almost like working hard for days weeks months seeing no result then suddenly you look in the mirror and realized how much of a positive difference that hard work has made and you feel good about yourself. Keep at it itll pay off for your health and family and most importantly yourself
Keep us posted and don't listen to any nay-sayers. You will get allot of negative feedback as well as people trying to push food your way. Just walk away my friend; walk away. Keep on keeping on.
I'm right there with you! I used to play basketball everyday, Loved to hike, to fish for trout in out of the way places. Then, as work became more and more a part of my life, vacations far less available, time off taken up with household chores and sore aching muscles and joints from a long shift at work, I slowly became heavier and heavier.
Thank you for the inspiration.
I am in a similar place right now, always thinking I should be like everyone else (skinny). My teenager years were hard , as I wore clothes I hated because they hid my shape. Even now my family don't know how big I got, I am tall and wore heels (it made such a difference for me). About a year ago I joined Slimming World and stuck to the eating plan. It was hard but so worth it. I learned so much. After 3 or 4 months when people started noticing I was losing weight , it spurred me on. Then I went to a Personal Trainer. She's amazing. My body was changing shape slowly. Not where I want to be yet, but on my way. Please keep going. You deserve this
I don't know you but I'm so proud of you. There will be days you will want to quit but just think about the reasons why you started this journey. Good luck!
I would like to suggest you try weight watchers online. There are men who are doing weight watchers and have been quite successful. I know you mentioned no fad diets, drinks etc. and weight watchers is none of that. Just check it out online and then decide. There is also a section within the site called "connect". This section consists of posts from people "in the struggle" and you will see nothing but people giving encouragement and motivation for each other. I have never seen one negative post. Good luck at whatever you decide!
Wow! So inspirational. Funny how people think they have to already look good and be fit to go to the gym. No body (that is secure with themselves) would ever make fun of someone trying to get into shape. It is very motivating and inspiring.
Thank you for the inspiration.
