That is always the worst argument. My taxes pay your salary? You have to pay taxes and so does everyone else. It does not give you any special right to order around a government employee.
Because It is so easy to be a police officer and keep your cool when you see babies get shot, innocent people die, and very horrific scenes. But no people are quick to judge P.O. How about someone walks a mile in their shoes before they judge them?
Also, that's not how bosses work. My boss doesn't pay my wages out of his own pocket. If your boss does pay your wages out of his own pocket, update that resume, because the company is going under soon.

Perhaps instead of thinking that a civilian has the authority to order a police officer around, one should remember that police officers are public servants and should be kept in their place.
Either you didn't word this correctly or you're saying Police Officers still have to be kept down beneath the public whom they serve. I'm hoping it's the former rather than the later.
