No. This is just a way to compensate for you not being favoured by people. In my school literally only the smarter kids or the ones who get As are popular. They go out, party, drink and have fun. And the outcasts get shitty grades and are just pure twats. I'm in both groups and I can gauruntee you that people sinply use this "logic"(barely call it that) as a coping method for you simply not being liked.

This is bullshit and you should know it. Critical people are very selective. Sometimes critical people are smart. But you can't base one off of the other. I have quite a few friends, and I always pass top marks in my class. HOW CAN THIS BE?!?!?! Because (someone has to say it. Trigger Warning:) Psychology isn't a real science.

i don't know if it means anything, but this is how i see it. i don't have friends, this is by choice. friends are a responsibility. you have to keep track of them make sure they are doing well and it is to much to worry about. i have acquaintances. just a few. people i can ignore for a few years and call them up for a get-together or to hit up a bar.
