Funny enough, here where I live a knife is only illegal if it is spring assisted or fixed bladed (no matter what size) but as long and it has to be manually opened and closed a knife is legal... regardless of blade size.

It's funny because someone with a decent wrist can open a folding knife faster than a spring can.
And the fixed blade thing is bullshit.
