Actually by estimates the obesity rate in the US would drop by half in 5 years if your government stopped subsidising the production of corn. Since the majority of American meat is raised on corn, it would increase the price of meat and corn based products, and thus consumers would have to purchase healthier food.
While that is somewhat true its not entirely accurate. If that happened then the price of gas would increase which means healthier food would also increase from shipping it from farms (mostly from the midwest) to the rest of the nation.
This is a stupid ass political statement that isn't reliable. School lunches provide fruit, vegetables, milk, cheese, etc. The food may not taste that amazing but that's cause it's mass produced. So unless you "capitalists" can come up with a better idea for school lunches don't complain.
