since destiny is an mmo i assume it is necessary however if a dlc is not necessary then look it up first, most games also don't charge for that much for dlc the average for me is like £20, the most expensive I've seen is £30 . if you are on pc look at g2a, they have amazing deals on for PC 24/7 if you are on console and think the dlc won't be that good wait for a sale.

The only game I can remember that locked out part of the game behind a DLC window was Asura's Wrath. That game actually left on a cliffhanger and told you to buy the ending. If you consider bonus maps, skins, and maybe some weapons to be integral parts of the game, I have to disagree. In most games, I don't need all that stuff to enjoy the campaign. If you feel like developers should wait and release all the content on release day with the game, blame the publishers. They're the ones making the most money and squeezing it out of the developers with planned DLC.
