The movie itself wasn't actually peaches and cream either

Of course, half the original stories they took end up in murder/rape and other sweet felonies

If you honestly believed the Disney version and didn't know better, you need to start reading, fam. I thought the fact that it didn't have a happy ending was commonly known.

All original tales are darker. I totally thought Ariel is the only disney princess who died before actually watching the movie
