Actually, cheese is made with rennet, a collection of enzymes found in the lining of calf stomachs. Rennet is collected during the slaughtering process. So yes, most cheeses do have slaughtered cows involved in the process.

most baby male calves are then put in veal crates and then are sent to slaughter
