Okay Internet, it fucks me up that this is supposedly a place where we can all have our opinions heard but as soon as we, including myself, hear an opinion that is different to us we downvote him or try to get him banned. If you dislike an opinion, just move on. It's not like you know me, if you knew me maybe you could argue my point of view, but if not you shouldn't have to be like this.
I liked Hillary better, even though she is corrupt and everything, but just because I could go to America to study at your expensive colleges. But you know what, keep them for yourselves. Peace.
I agree with you. The whole upvote/downvote thing should just be removed because people seriously downvote things they personally disagree with, instead of trying to see it from the other side.
But... but that's the point of the dislike button. You disagree, you downvote it. it's way better than starting an argument in the comment section. It's a more a respectful way of saying you disagree, honestly.
Yes, but a lot of people disagree simply because of what someone has to say, instead of actually providing something to the conversation.
They just downvote and leave.
I am not saying that the dislike button should dissappear, just that if you do not agree with an opinion don't downvote it but just move on

That's the point with this website. People actually get offended. See I'm guilty of it too but usually only if I think the other person is offended. This site is free speech. As edward snowden said "We have this new fabric of technology that everyone has. And it's so big that it connects everyone in earth, even people who don't share the same language". We choose to be offended. We honestly do. Subconcious or concious. We choose it.
My problem is when when people downvote a comment but just move on and don't say anything. You can downvote for disagreement but at least say why you think the other person is wrong.
Well sometimes a downvote is the only appropriate response. When someone is being willfully ignorant, you aren't going to change their mind. On the flipside, if someone calls someone stupid or ignorant or a nasty name, what's the appropriate response. Some arguments aren't worth having... Ta Da! Down vote!
And that's the real problem... people need to be more involved in the political process. Not just the presidential election. Local and state elections are more likely to impact your life. I don't want to hear "my vote doesn't matter" when there is more than just the general election going on here.
Seriously, how pissed is he going to be to be dragged out of bed at 3:00 in the morning to make life and death decisions. I don't actually think he wanted to be president.
