The whole point of a text is so the other person can reply back at a later time. If you want an immediate response you call. Fuck you. Don't know why I'm angry.

No, texts were invented for lightning-fast direct messaging, to get responses quick. If you'd like to wait for a response, go compose an email or write a letter.
