Lets be clear there are major differences between actual real triggers, like PTSD type, and little sjw type triggers who find using the word "mankind" trigger worthy. Most people only get mad at the sjw kind
Who the fuck would be mad about Gordon being careful not to upset a dude who was actually abused?? Literally no one. This post is bullshit

@guest i never said this had anything to do about sjws, this post is to point out what a good guy gordon is, as well as to inform on how to deal with people with real triggers, seeing as how a lot of people like to make fun of people even with real triggers. this is a positive post, dont make it into something else please.
that's cuz this is like a real thing. the triggers people call stupid are shit like 'AS EARTH KIN, PICTURES OF SPACE TRIGGERS ME!!!!!!!' and dumb cunt attention whore shit like that
Those "ridiculous anti-sjw types" probably aren't talking about legitimate trauma. They're just talking about being offended at things that aren't offensive.
If you have to decontextualize and exaggerate someone's point in order to make your own, just don't.
That and people asking for trigger warnings in university courses, because psychological studies have shown that content warnings in courses actually hve a negative effect on those with PTSD, and the only way to get over a large trauma (generally) is by being exposed to it in tiny tiny pieces a little at a time
^^^ding, ding, ding. We have a winner. Prolonged Exposure therapy. (Also coginitive processing therapy, and EMDR). That being said, I used to teach a therapy class that was very experiential. I'd tell them in the beginning that if discussing traumatic stuff was too difficult, they weren't ready for the profession and should drop the class, but I'd help them get help if they wanted.
