I used to steal sh*t all the time which I know is wrong but I was a bit of a klepto. Once I was looking at a tie I really liked and the store manager saw me eyeing it. I shoved it in my bag all sneaky like and went to the register to buy something else. The manager noticed the tie wasn't on the rack anymore and asked me where it was. I told her I didn't know..maybe someone else liked it and grabbed it. She was VERY suspicious of me and accused me of stealing it. We went back and forth for a while about whether or not I was trying to shoplift. I finally threw my bag on the counter rather dramatically and told her This is ridiculous! F*ing search it. She gave me a funny look but didn't search it. She agreed maybe someone else had it and I was free to go.

That's why you follow it up with "Why is it any of your business?"

One time i went to a mall ALONE and window shopping to these stores i always go with my mom (but i always buy their clothes there if i go with my mom). All of the shop keepers from all those stores i visited thought i was about to shoplift bc i kept looking around and touching small goods like accessories and socks. one store even put a thick tory burch wallet in a sweater rack (i bet its a trick to see wheter i took the wallet or not), i thought the wallet was for sale but then i realized the wallet was already kinda dirty and its not on the wallet rack. Finally an employee came to me and asked if i wanted to buy something. I got confused and scared, i said i was looking for a facial brush (which clearly they dont sell bath tools) and then i went out the store right after he said they didnt sell facial brush. So stupid.
