I think the point the post is making is that nowadays people will watch an entire play or parade or whatever on the screen of a phone while taking a video rather than taking a few pics and actually watching what's going on in front of them. I took my son to see Marvel Universe and there were so many people including myself taking videos/pics of it. About half way through the show I realized I had spent so much time watching on my phone making sure I was getting good video(to watch later) that I hadn't actually seen what was going on 30 feet in front of my face. My husband adds that people worry too much about getting pics/videos to post on social media and show everyone.
This is actually a huge pet peeve of mine, especially when the quantity of pictures seem more important than the quality, but it was something I had to go along with with my ex.
I also never understood the need to halt the fun times in order to document them. It's such a buzz-kill.
Yeah I don't care at all how you enjoy or watch an event just be considerate because I'm not trying to watch it through your screen. So many people just shove their crap in front of you to get a better view and it is irritating. This goes for anything, try to be considerate of people behind you.
