I've been told I'm very smart but I lack the motivation to get much better grades than Cs and Bs.

Damn. How about setting yourself daily goals? I know it sounds so cliche and cheesy but having a list of priorities is amazing.

Probably true, people tend to believe they're a smarter than they usually are or that they're smarter than others when they're pretty much average

Well you can be smart but if you have no motivation to do anything with your intelligence, then you're about as useful as someone who is stupid. There's no point to intelligence if you don't have the motivation to use it.
